🧾 Ingredients (Serves 3–4)

  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 500 g chicken breast or thighs, sliced
  • 1 cup Yumino Dried Tart Cherries
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2–3 tbsp sugar or honey
  • ½ tsp brewed saffron
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp cardamom
  • Salt & black pepper

👩‍🍳 How to Make Cherry Chicken Rice

  1. Soak dried cherries in warm water for 20 minutes and drain.
  2. Sauté cherries in butter with sugar or honey for 3–4 minutes until glossy.
  3. Sauté onions in olive oil until golden. Add chicken, spices and saffron; cook until tender.
  4. Boil rice until 70% cooked and drain.
  5. Layer rice, chicken and cherries in a pot.
  6. Cover and steam on low heat for 30–35 minutes.
