🧾 Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 500 g lamb, cut into cubes
- 1 cup Fig, halved
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- ½ tsp ground allspice (optional)
- Salt & black pepper
- 2 cups beef or vegetable broth
- ¼ cup toasted almonds or pine nuts
- Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish
👩🍳 Instructions
- Sauté Aromatics: Heat olive oil in a heavy pot. Sauté onions and garlic until soft and golden.
- Brown the Lamb: Add lamb cubes, season with salt, pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice. Sear until lightly browned.
- Add Broth & Simmer: Pour in broth. Cover and simmer on low heat for 60–75 minutes until lamb is tender.
- Add Figs & Honey: Stir in halved Organic Black Mission Figs and 1–2 tbsp honey. Simmer another 15–20 minutes until figs are soft and sauce thickened.
